For those of you who like fine cuisine, especially that of the Indian sort, I have fabulous news for you: The Star of India, formerly located on 177 East and 200 South, has finally reopened in their new location! It is now open and serving lunch and dinner at 55 East 400 South. There is not a neon sign up yet and that strip of 4th is really dark. The easiest way to find it is to head west on 4th south. You'll go through the light at State Street and halfway down the block there is a little alley. Just east of that little alley is the restaurant. You can park in the aforementioned alley, on State Stree (if you're lucky enough to find a spot), or you can park in the parking garage on the south side of 4th, just west of the Courthouse. The best part is they will validate for you! The nan is to die for, their vegetarian menu is excellent and they are quite possibly the most gracious and hospitable people I have ever met.
